Does my clinic need a website if I'm already on Practo or Google?
Short answer: yes. Listings and your Google profile help patients find you. Your website helps them choose you.
What listings do well
Practo, Justdial and your Google Business Profile are useful. Patients search there, see your rating and timings, and call. Keep them updated.
But on a listing:
- Your competitors sit on the same page, often above you.
- You can’t explain much. A treatment like implants or aligners needs more than two lines.
- You don’t own it. The platform decides what shows, and can change it any time.
What only your website does
- It answers patients’ real questions. What does the treatment involve? How long does it take? What does it roughly cost? Patients decide before they call.
- It builds trust. Your qualifications, your clinic, your team and how you work, in your own words.
- It makes booking easy. One tap to WhatsApp or call, at any hour.
- It’s yours. Your name, your content, your patients’ enquiries.
- It makes your ads and Google search work. Ads and search send people somewhere. A good website is where they decide to book.
What a clinic website needs
You don’t need a big website. You need the right pages:
- A clear homepage: who you are, where you are, how to book.
- One page per main treatment: what it is, who it’s for, what to expect.
- About the doctor: qualifications and experience.
- Contact and location: map, timings, WhatsApp.
It should load fast on a phone, because that’s where most patients search.
One caution
Medical advertising in India has rules about what a clinic can claim. Avoid words like “best”, “guaranteed” or “painless”, and be careful with before-and-after photos. Your website should inform, not promise.
