What to prepare before you talk to a web agency
Ten minutes of preparation makes the first conversation far more useful. Here’s what to have ready.
1. The treatments you want more patients for
Not “more patients” in general. Name two or three treatments, such as implants, aligners or hair transplant, and the area you serve. Everything else is planned around this.
2. Where your patients come from today
Rough numbers are fine. Referrals? Walk-ins? Practo? Google? Instagram? This shows what’s already working.
3. What you already have
- Your website address, if you have one
- Who owns your domain, and the login if you have it
- Your Google Business Profile
- Logo, clinic photos and doctor photos
- Any ad accounts you’ve used before
If you don’t know who owns your domain, find out. It should be in your name.
4. Websites you like
Two or three clinic websites you like, or don’t like, and why. It helps more than any description.
5. A rough budget and timeline
You don’t need an exact number. A range is enough. Also mention any date that matters, like a new branch opening.
6. Who decides
If a partner or family member also decides, include them early. It saves going back and forth later.
Questions to ask the agency
- What will I own at the end?
- What will you report every month?
- What do you need from me, and how much of my time?
- Do you work with other clinics near me?
